Welcome to my web site, I hope you will enjoy sharing my Scotties with me.
Glenheath a small kennel based in the West Midlands, here in the UK. My aim has always been to breed happy, healthy, good tempered dogs, be they destined for the show ring or to grace someone's couch.
My affix " GLENHEATH " was granted by the Kennel Club in 1992 and is owned by me (Sue Baker). The kennel was founded on stock purchased from "Mayson" Scottish Terriers. Motherhood evaded my first girl Mayson Golden Charm but my second bitch Mayson Alexandra produced two litters, the first containing eight puppies, the second a litter of seven. "Alex" was also responsible for my kennels first Reserve CC.
The show dogs are always prepared and handled by myself. Quality puppies are sometimes available, although, breeding is not undertaken on a great scale, priority being a new youngster to show and the continuance of the family lines. Each litter is carefully planned, temperament and health being of paramount importance. In addition to good breeding and rearing, I believe puppies should also be well socialized by eight weeks of age, therefore all my puppies are reared in the home. Visitors are welcome, but as I lead such a busy life please telephone first to arrange an appointment.
Love for the breed is not totally centred around breeding and exhibiting, as in addition to this, I judge the breed at Championship Show level and was Secretary of the STBEA a position I held from March 1995 until May 2011. Information on this club, other UK clubs, Scottie friends and doggy related sites can be accessed through my links page. My dogs play a major part in my life and it is because of them that I have made many loyal and I hope lifelong friendships.
Enjoy your visit
