MARTIMM DYLON

 "DYLAN"
1990 - 2003

Born 11th November 1990, "Dylan" came to us aged 8 weeks. A son of Ch. Mayson Monopoliser x Highland Penny at Martimm he was a lovely puppy with a super shiny, hard, black, tight fitting coat, dark bright eyes and the biggest, blackest, wettest nose ever! He immediately took over our home and lives, made friends with our two cats and kept the neighbourhood toms out of the garden.

He was shown at Open shows at general and club level where he did some nice winning, even qualifying for Crufts at Paignton Championship Show 1992. Not a real showman he found fame as a model representing the breed at Discover Dogs (Crufts) for many years. He was so popular people came back year after year  just to see him and Dylan just loved all the fussing, petting and photo shoots.

He was used by Susan Gaskell to give trimming demonstrations to novice exhibitors, and, by The Scottish Terrier Breed Council when assessment days were held for prospective judges. His favourite place was lying on the sofa on top of a scatter cushion, always pretending to be asleep when you entered the room, but never quite managing to hide that little glint of white in one eye.

Dylan was a wise old gentleman and was "Simply the Best". An orange rose of the same name has been planted in our garden in his memory.
